Front camera not available

I'm currently using Sony Xperia C5 Ultra Dual. After I updated my software from 5.0 to 5.1, my front camera is no longer available. It says "Camera not available. Flashlight or Camera may be in use by another application. Close it and try again". I've tried many methods already including factory reset.

How can I contact Sony? I'm very frustrated with the warranty condition of the dealer

You will have to contact any Xperia support so they can tell you who to contact

Hi @walid26984,

I merged your post with a previous topic.

Try clearing data for the Camera app first, Settings > Apps > All > Camera > Clear data. This won't erase any of your pictures or videos. If you are still unable to use the front camera try performing a software repair using PC Companion.

Last resort should be sending your phone in to an authorised service center so contact your Local support team for more information if need be.

Same problem here.

Not only us, but many xperia c5 out there that face this kind of problem.

Front camera not working. Even the switch button is missing.

Feb 2016, have this problem because update

And its not the first time happened to me

Have sony xperia mini, and camera quality, resolution, etc dropped after update

And now im start to doubt this "sony update"

Is that make your phone better or worse?

@walid26984 As suggest above, contact your Local support team for more information on how you can send your phone in to an authorised service center for further examination.

Facing same problems. Trying all the solutions got online but still icon disappointed and front camera not working. Ohhffss...
