AR21S XP Pro. Aborting Recovery disc

I need to abort recovery system disc before it wipes my C drive, ( I hadn't backed up all my files!) but the eject button doesn't eject the disc. When you cancel it reboots the recovery disc. Any assistance for a silver surfer would be welcome.

Try this...

Gently push an opened paperclip into the small hole on your CD/DVD tray, hopefully this should eject the disc..

My problem is Media Center. With TV I get "Video Error" and no picture etc and it freezes with a "Common Language Runtime Debugging" error which does nothing when "OK" and "Cancel" are clicked. I thought it might be a driver which could be found on the recovery disc.
Any ideas please.
