Which version of Kodi 18.9 can be installed manually to a Sony Android Bravia TV set?

As Kodi 19.0 is not satble yet, users are encourged to reinstall Kodi 18.9 version. As Google Play Store (which matches your device and the  software to be installed) offers only the latest instabil Kodi 19.0, you need to install older versions manually. The question arises: which type of Kodi 18.9 (an APK file) can be installed manually? 32 bit? 64 bit? or x86? My device is an KDL-43W807C Sony Bravia. Can any one help me? Thanks

Csaba

As far as I know, the different versions can be summed up as;

  • x86 is for computer/laptop-based Android versions.
  • 32bit is the most commonly used version (and is most likely the one that would work.
  • 64bit is similar to 32bit, but is fairly new and less supported (32bit apps work on 64bit devices, but not the other way around).

Hope this helps!

Hi,

To my knowledge there's no such difference for APK files.

This usually only applies to Windows computers.

Cheers

Thank you for marking the thread as resolved and listing the version you're going to use as well.

It'd be even more helpful if you have the time to provide an update after installing (whether it worked for you or not).
