I'm also searching two important features from Android 7.1 

1.  Swipe gesture from the fingerprint scannner for example swipe down the notification bar. 

2. Night mode (like in ios)

I see new rounded icons for Google apps, some new emojis, and they switched the status display from LTE/H to 4G/3G.

Hello. I updated my XZ(F8331) to 41.2.A.2.199. i not see new lockscreen clock and new theme Xperia Loops(XZ 's, XA, XZ Premium etc...) ... Any chance xperia xz get this of future updates??

Hello guys, certainly a lot of Xz users have already conducted Nougat 7.1.1 systems update. 

What gave you noticed personally from your own XZ units.. Was there an improvement on things that matters to you most..?

Battery still the same. Not as great as my Z3.

No lag at all now, particularly the pull down menu which is very smooth. The overall memory footprint has reduced, so that you have up to 1 GB of residual ram once all the usual apps are in play. It's still very early for battery life comparisons, but I should hit one and a half days on medium use. Until now, I had regretted the 3GB memory allowance, but the software appears very polished and it's the refined experience I'd hoped for from the start. As for comparisons with the Z3, the XZ takes much better photographs. The trade off is battery life, which is about 70% of what the Z3 brought you. Either way, it's now a great phone.......

My only concern is the camera.

Would be good if someone could check the quality of pictures after the update. Does it still take pictures with same watercolor and oversharpening effects? It would be really great phone if they could improve the camera performance to eliminate those effects... Since camera is the key point of this phone as it was advertised we do have right to expect camera to perform well.

In other topics it was mentioned by someone that camera app version is the same (2.0.0) after the update, so I wonder if there a hope..

The performance of the phone is super fast now, this is the major change I noticed. Everything is fast and smooth. Camera app works faster now, no change to camera quality so far. Hope it will come with next update.
