So whenever I reboot my phone install/update any app, that AVG kicks in an scans stuff, solving my phone down - lagging home screen and so on, soo annoying 😡
I disabled every possible thing for it, all permissions, but when i try to uninstall it it prompts me with - this app has device admin permissions - or something along those lines. But when i go to device admin settings and try to uncheck that Avg, it crashing the settings screen, saying - system stopped working - and throws me back to home screen, so pissed that i cant uninstall ann app that slows my phone down and makes it lag 😡😡 any solution without a root?
@Uupinaatoors oh how I understand you!!! AVG is terrible, and it's a pity you can't really disable it without crashing your phone.
What you can do is trying restarting your phone in safe mode
If in safe mode you are not able to disable the AVG, backup your content and perform a software repair using Xperia Companion
Once your phone is repaired before installing any app go in settings, apps and disable avg pronto! Then proceed restoring your favorite apps.
Fixed it, it's finally disabled.
For some reason had to remove admin permission on "Android device manager" and then I was able to untick Avg from device administrators without crashing settings screen. At first i thought it wasn't a good idea to do so, coz when unchecking "Android device manager" it prompts you with a warning that this service is used by android play store and i thought i shouldn't do it, but it's fine. Must be something to do with Play store subscription management (When i got the phone i subscribed to Avg pro as it was only 1.49 £ so i thought to give it a go - what a mistake 😒😒 )
Problem solved, thank for the replay anyway 👍
