I've tried installing Screen Notifications by Luke Korth from Play Store. It worked perfectly on my Xperia Z1 compact, but with the Xperia X it seems to affect the notification lights and sounds (they doesn't work every time).
Is there some way I can get the screen to light up every time i receive a message/notification?
Or; is there some secret hidden place in settings I've overseen?

Hi @Dotte,
The screen on the Xperia X does not light up by default when you receive a notification, but you will get a blinking LED at the top.
If a third party app is not working with your handset the best thing to do is to contact the app developer and let them know. The Xperia X and the Xperia Z1 have quite different architecture so an app that works on one may not necessarily work on the other. It is up to the app developer to deal with any compatibility issues.

I had similar problem, some apps (Screen Notifications, etc) did wake up the screen, but this seems to me Marshmallow bug, that when screen wakes up, the notification sound will cut off. As I also wanted a different led notifications, I chose Light Flow Legacy (You need to buy Light Flow License) for the whole job and it was perfect. It wakes up screen for messages, calendar notifications etc, You can add separate led color for the missed notifications. For audio alerts, disable native app -s audio alert and let the Light Flow Legacy do the job.
