Future BRAVIA features - requests & suggestions.

Hi all

Please feel free to put in any requests for future updates and features you would like to see added. Of course we can't promise that we can deliver on all of them as there may be technical/commercial/resource limitations, as to why they aren't possible, but everything will be considered.

Thanks

Expand DLNA video player with support for subtitle files (like .srt, .txt or .ssa) so that similar functionality is achieved as on PC (e.g. pairs of files VideoFile.avi and VideoFile.srt).

Except from mkv, better .srt and dts format support over usb and dlna which are features that everyone that owns a Sony TV wants, I want to be sure that the TV that i bought one month ago will take the update for the new sony entertainment network with the new gui and services.

Change the web browser included to one where the screen display is readable and not so small as to be useless.

Add the option to edit program titles recorded on to a hdd.

When I click the option button (In browser mode) and scroll down there's a zoom feature.

My suggestion to an improvement is the ability to connect a wireless keyboard to the usb slot.

If a mouse also could be used, that would be another +

Preferably should the tv accept any make and model, and not be locked to

"Sony only variant", as with the skype webcam.

Supporting .mkv files is the most important thing and of course support files larger then 4gb. Support of all of the other video file pypes would be great, but .mkv is the extension of high quality video files is deadly important to everyone i think. Would be great to hear Sony did it...

So when are you going to start offering UHDTV 4320p TV's? 1080p has been arround for years and years, and you can see the pixels on large screens, so its time to retire it - 1920 by 1080 resolution is simply dated, so when are we going to see you producing 7680 X 4320 screens (UHDTV 4320p)? Theres a nice article on wiki about it - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Hi-Vision_television

Is Vimeo going to get a player alongside YouTube?

If I try to use Vimeo from the vimeo website, it is too small to see and you can't press the buttons to go full screen (see https://www.sony.co.uk/discussions/message/758043 ) and if I try to use the "armchair" mode which Vimeo supply, it crashes the TV  - it reboots completely (this is a KDL-24EX32). But in any case using it through the vimeo.com isn't the ideal way to use it on a TV like this.
