For the last couple of days (and possibly longer as I haven't used the set much) I've been unable to get Internet services on my KDL-32W705C.
In the list of apps I see only the built-in ones. My favourites (iPlayer, Prime Video) are there but if I click on them nothing happens.
I can access my home network media servers from it OK.
- The set's Internet connectivity tests say all is OK
- I have the latest firmware
- I've refreshed the Internet content
- I've unpowered the set and restarted it
So have Sony stopped providing Internet services for this model?

Hi SpooRancher,
Maybe a Factory reset can resolve this. You can reset the TV from Home - Settings - System Settings - General Setup - Factory settings.
Hope this helps,

Hi there,
Welcome to the Sony Community.
Firstly I would suggest performing a network diagnosis for troubleshooting help. You can find more details on this here.
Let me know how you get on and if there is still no solution I can look at other options.
Best wishes,
Sean Mc

Thanks for that. I've run the network diagnostic options and all reports
OK; the set self-check reports all OK.
Some more data I found just now:
- On BBC channels, the red button gives me the Internet based service
(very very slow, but this model has very poor performance).
- From the menu page there, I can get to the iPlayer, and it all works
fine.
So the thing that is failing is specifically the Sony Entertainment Network
page where the apps all live. Here I get the built-in set and the
favourites I've set up. Refresh Internet content works (or does not report
an error, at least).
>From the built-in apps, the web browser works; and I can access my home
network media servers.
If I go to "All Apps" I see only the built-in ones, and get asked to
refresh Internet content every time. Again, this does not report an error,
but no apps appear.
Selecting any of the Internet-based favourites I have set up shows the
activity ticker at top left for a few seconds, then nothing. No iPlayer, no
YouTube, no Prime Video. No errors are reported, it just does nothing.
So Internet connectivity is fine, and iPlayer works if I get to it via the
red button service. It would seem that it's specifically the SEN stuff that
I guess needs interaction with Sony servers that doesn't work, which is why
I was pondering if they have discontinued service for this set model and
simply don't respond.
Software update reports that I have the latest firmware
I have a Sony wifi enabled bluray player, and here the SEN services all
work. So it's something about the set model or the specific set.
Thanks
Alan

I have a variation on this, on a KDL-40HX853... I supposedly updated internet video services following instructions on this forum, but now none of those services work. ie I see the Internet Video home screen, but whichever service I select (eg iPlayer, Netflix, Amazon etc etc) it doesn't load. What's gone wrong and how do I fix it? Does it have to be a factory reset?
Thanks for the expected help.

Thanks SpooRancher. After the factory reset is it necessary to download updates? ie: does the reset go back to software version when new, or upgraded software?

Not for me! So I'm looking for other solutions - please! And just to confirm - I do have internet connection.
