My phone goes off at 90%:
The device turns off, and I need to plug it in to a charger before I can start using it again.
I did reinstall the software in the device using Xperia Companion, but the problem persists.

Time to replace the battery, you have 2 options
1 through Sony >>> Local Support
or
2 DIY which will be cheaper, but will void the warranty, if any
That of course it's assuming that your battery no longer hold charge.

Hi @O_Q, sorry to hear about this.
As @uliwooly wrote, please get in touch with your Local support team as they device will need to be examined at an authorized service centre by a trained technician, as the software repair did not solve this.
If you have any questions regarding the repair, warranty or consumer laws, these questions are best answered by your Local support team as well, as they differ between markets and this is a Global user based forum.
Keep us posted!
