@Jaswinder1, also, check if there's any debris in the headphone jack that could interrupt the circuit.

Booting into safe mode may change personal UI customizations such as icons, folders and widgets.
When you restart to normal mode again, some 3:rd party apps that has a sign in may require that you sign in again. It will not delete your data though.

@Jaswinder1, the it sounds like it is a hardware issue. If you want to rule out all possibility of a software problem, run a software repair. Make sure you back up your phone first.
