Well I couldn't get any Bluetooth to stay connected after pairing. Also WiFi would glitch and turn off then on, and at the same time my Bluetooth would turn off and stay off.
I sent it out for repair and all they did was change the camera.
The Bluetooth is not working right.
With older Bluetooth handsfree devices it pairs but won't stay connected. New speakers and headsets, and watches pair and connect - but a few minutes after the phone is asleep they disconnect and are useless.
Yet all these devices work fine with an iPhone 5s, Samsung grand prime and Galaxy s6.
I have tried a factory reset, booting into safe mode and all the Sony computer software would let me do, but nothing seems to work.
I will probably end up bringing it back to the store for repair again, but if you know of a way to make it work again let me know.
It is so random.
Even after a fresh restore. I'll connect WiFi and that's it. No settings changed or appstore added.
WiFi and Bluetooth will turn off.
WiFi will come back on after a minute, but Bluetooth stays off till I turn it on.
If WiFi is off and Bluetooth is on.
WiFi will turn itself on and I'll find Bluetooth off again.
I am afraid that you already done what you could at your end (safe mode, software repair using Xperia Companion).. could you remember when that problem started?
before you leave the service center, try to test all functionalities,.. even it takes a long time.
I had to wait over an hour to see someone to get my phone back. Then another 20min of paperwork - had two kids so had to go.
Wish I lived closer. But there are too few stores that can send phones out for warranty repair.
after chatting with a Sony, and a few android developers - they believe my issue is with how Sony uses the doze feature in android 6.0
They said if I keep using the Bluetooth for a call it will work, but as soon as the call is done and the phone is off - doze will try to turn off everything to save power. They think the Bluetooth not turning back on is a glitch in sonys software.
any ideas?
The problem with Bluetooth is a software problem ,The only way it can be fixed is by Sony software developers. They don't seem to care.
If you have bluetooth issues, test the bluetooth and WiFi
settings > about phone > diagnostics > test > test them
I agree with this!

The reason why many people prefer Apple and Samsung devices is that their developers bring a product to market and do not forget. But there are manufacturers like Sony or Huawei who pick up a phone and forget it.
When I say forget it I refer to not launching updates that improve the performance of devices based on what users frequently report in these help forums.
It is truly sad to give a vote of confidence to these brands who do not care about giving better support to their users.
Hi folks!
it's a common problem, there is no definitive solution, but with a little trick you can solve the issue:
turn on airplane mode, turno on bt, then turn off airplane mode
it will recognize all the speakers, auricolares, cars, etc
Bye for now
