C5 Ultra storage full

My C5 constantly shows that the storage is full, however, I only have Whatsapp installed. All my pictures are on my SD card.

The storage breakdown is as follow :

Available - 720MB

Android System - 5.93GB

Apps - 2.60GB (Much smaller than on my Galaxy!!!)

Images - 628Kb

Videos - 0.0

Audio - 0.0

Other - 4.49GB

Cached data - 208MB

When I click on Transfer data to SD card, it only show 4 files totaling 459Kb

So where did my storage go??? Most of the apps is the ones that comes with the phone, I only have Whatsapp and a few smaller apps I customly installed afterwards.

Those values doesn't add up at all. Where is the rest??? This got worse with updates. Is there maybe some storage used by the upgrade that doesn't get cleared???

This is what you should do

Move the whatsapp folder from the Internal storage to the SD card > delete the folders inside the whatsapp folder in the internal storage > restart your phone, that will give you some space.

Once a week, check each folder and move the items in the folders to the counterpart on the SD card

Also clear the app data of streaming services such as instagram, facebook, spotify, etc.

As I have stated, there is nothing from WA on the internal storage. The values displayed doesn't even add up, and there are several Gigs missing if you add it up. I do not have the same issue on my Samsung, which have several apps installed.

All photos etc are on the external SD. There is something very wrong with the storage calculation.

After I update the phone to version 6.0 my phone, it is presenting problems with the internal storage, which previously did not happen to me. It also presents errors in the connectivity of the wifi and Bluetooth devices, they disconnect and connect very frequently, I would like to please help me with this problem, thanks in advance.

Use SD Maid app, must help. How i know need to root smartphone and full SD Maid app (some features which need to restore memory are in premium (pro) version of this app), all mysterious gone memory will be restored. Enough simple root without any unlocked bootloaders. Keep in mind root can void your warranty and i don't assume for deleted files and bricked smartphone responsibility. SD Maid is simple files deleting app, but SD Maid with full version can delete all files from smartphone system too (that's why need root, your mysterious gone memory can be in system transfered where usually without root permission impossible to remove it), so all responsibility is yours, i don't assume it Slightly_smiling_Face

By the way after cleaned with SD Maid (if you used full clean) can be restored some apps settings by default, then you should edit  it by you, again it Slightly_smiling_Face

Also you can try to check where is your memory gone, if SD Maid will  not help, with Solid Explorer Classic app, but be careful again, coz with this app, you seriously can damage smartphone if you don't know what to do (you can delete important files which need for good work of smartphone, then you must repair smartphone, that's mean all files will be deleted in smartphone memory and ect). And again need root and full version of this app Slightly_smiling_Face About responsibility, all risk of responsibility is yours, i don't assume it Slightly_smiling_Face
