Sony KD-55X8509C - Disney Plus stopped working

The Disney Plus app does not load when selected.  It keeps going back to the Home screen.  I have checked and the TV is upto date SV: PKG5.433.0183EUB and all the other apps work.

 

Also did a hard shutdown and reload twice and no joy?

The latest version is v5.435, try updating to it and see if that solves it.

Cheers for that.  I need to know if my machine can accept the update.  When I tried and update from the TV itself it says it's upto date.

Thanks for the link.  downloaded and have just updated the TV.

No joy  Disney plus app still not working.

Will look to report it to Sony

Maybe try clearing the cached data (under Storage & Reset - Internal Shared Storage - Cached data) then restart by holding power.

Tried that Joe a couple of times.  Still no joy, it still bounces BACK Tto Home screen after a couple of seconds after selecting OK.

Have you tried using a different network (i.e. hotspot) in case the app was being blocked by a firewall for example?

The app has now gone from my TV.  Has there been any updates you are aware of?

Lost, now found.  Decided to uninstall.  Reinstalled.  Now works.

I had noticed on another TV firestick that the app required an update to a new version, perhaps this was why it failed.
