Hi is sony going to do a update to the 43xg8396 to allow EARC for HDMI 2.1 as I have the xf9000 sound bar.

OK i love the TV and Sound bar i have also ordered a HDMI 2.1 CABLE to link TV and Sound bar together. May do nothing but think i should. Will see what PS5 comes with.Thanks.

The HDMI 2.1 in the TV would be an "hardware update", so... No update.

Hi @D-Law81 You don't need eARC for Dolby Atmos (DD+). It runs fine over ARC and HDMI 2.0.

Its also for true HD, ATMOS and DTS X. and yes it looks like i cant run this but won't do any harm. 😉😋👍🇬🇧 Thank you for the answers.
