Hi guys,
As above. We've been unable to view anything on iPlayer, we just get greeted with the unable to play error code 02056 when making a selection.
Restarting the TV hasn't helped.
Any other things to try? The TV is fine apart from this, Plex, Netflix and Disney+ all work etc.

Is you TV software up to date which will include the latest iPlayer software as well?
For completeness I would reboot your broadband router, just in case it is blocking the connection to the iPlayer servers.
Yep, all updates are applied as they come - and I did check and we are on the current offering. Will reboot the router tomorrow and check the DNS servers etc., I've read they can cause issues with iPlayer as well.
Try to disable and enable YouView once more, and go to ''Help'', then go the privacy settings, and re-accept it all, then test it once more.
Thanks! Will try tomorrow. I have established that it isn't my internet that's the problem, the issue is definitely with the TV... latest update installed but I was wondering if it might be worth performing a factory reset?
We're currently watching iPlayer through our Sony Blu-ray 😂
Sorry, you mean iPlayer yeah? I was actually wondering if it was possible to force stop apps and clear caches etc.

Yeah, I think it's coming up to that time...
All of the UKs terrestrial steaming services appear to be embedded in the Sony Select app set you can't force stop or clear individual caches.

Hi slipd83, if you go Home- Settings_ apps- show all apps, then go through the list.
Bah, Factory Reset doesn't appear to have done anything...
