Help , My Android TV got bricked after I issued "adb reboot bootloader"

Hi

I have a 55x8500c Sony Android tv (Asia model),

Previously I had a problem, My tv won't update to any firmware, It was rebooting at 53% exactly everytime when it tries to copy the update file from usb.

I was searching for a solution, So I enabled developer options, and I tried "adb reboot recovery" It didnt enter any recovery, simply it restarted.

Then I tried "adb reboot bootloader" , Now it is stuck, It shows sony logo for a few seconds and the display becomes blank. White led is also not glowing.

It is bricked, Any solution will be very helpful.

Thanks

Not sure what it is stuck in, it simply doesn't go past a certain stage in the initial setup (manages to get me signed in into my Google account tho - http://i.imgur.com/zAT2hbu.jpg, not sure how I can log off, perhaps this would help?)

Here's a video of a guy experiencing the same loop as me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zf9JFNk_ju0

Do you think fastbook will fix this?

Crap, the "List of devices attached" is empty so it doesn't even see it 😞

I'm quite sure the Developer Tools were enabled on the telly, not sure about the USB Debugging option tho..

Am I doing something wrong? Tried ./adb kill-server + ./adb start-server + ./adb devices

It is definitely not in fastboot  or in adb mode, so It wont work,

It is mostly software related problem, Try removing your LAN cable or switching off wifi when you start your TV.

Have you tried updating the firmware by putting the firmware software in a usb drive? It might work.

You can send a PM to Quinnicus with your problem in detail, maybe he can help you.

also try removing your TV from your google account and see what happens https://security.google.com/settings/security/activity

@pikachu2, yes, I've succesfully installed a new firmware, same loop occurs 😕

If I take the LAN cable out, the same loop occurs, albeit a little bit sooner (it doesn't get to "share your location screen").

@pikachu2, this is actually an awesome idea! The ringer works - https://www.google.com/android/devicemanager

The lock and the reset don't (We could not lock your device. Please try again.), unfortunately 😞 This would've solved my problem! I tried navigating to different pages to make it work, but it refuses. Any idea why?

Can I delete it from the list altogether?

Try removing account access for your TV from here https://security.google.com/settings/security/activity , It will log you out from your TV.

Once you are logged out from the TV. restart and remove internet connection, then try Factory reset in settings menu.

If you have adb debugging on try this command in your pc using USB cable

adb shell recovery --wipe_data

or try putting older firmware in your usb.

Whats your tv model no?

@pikachu2 it's a KD-55X8005C bought in UK and moved to Moldova. The whole loop thing happened once I've factory resetted it and chose a different language to be able to hook it to the local analogue television since the standard is different from the UK I believe. Now, no matter what language I choose, it's stuck in that damn loop!

I don't think any adb command works - it simply doesn't spot the device via USB -> error: no devices/emulators found
