So I bought a Sony af9 not long ago and cannot get HDR to work on my ps4 pro xbox one x even pc .
I have changed the hdmi signal format from standard to enhanced and it recognises it as a hdr 10 tv in the console settings but i cannot get the games or the dashboard to display HDR.
I have forced HDR in the TV settings but it always comes with dark and unsaturated colors.
I have ordered a
UPtab ultra high speed hdmi 2.1
for tomorrow. to see if that helps, otherwise i am not sure what to do tbh
Cables aren’t to any particular HDMI level, only equipment is. Even if this cable does what it claims, you aren’t using any HDMI 2.1 equipment, so a good Amazon high speed cable, at a quarter of the price, will suffice.
I also will be taking a video of it.
The HDR not working as it should.
Also will be comparing this TV next to my samsung ks7000 with HDR just in case.
(I purchased a hdmi splitter from startech 4k 60hz and full HDR 10)
Hello @eaextreme,
it would be very helpful if you would answer my last question.
If you don't provide more info, it is hard for me (and others) to help you to resolve any issue.

Sorry Nic, I forgot,
Yes its on hdmi 1, I have used other ports and have used enhanced format on all hdmi signals
Hello @eaextreme,
if I am not mistaken only the ports 2 and 3 support HDR signals with more than 30fps (like e.g. from a gaming console).

Have tested the new hdmi cable and HDR is still not working properly.
The only way to get it working on the consoles is to set hdmi signal to "STANDARD" Go to picture/display settings and force HDR 10 on via remote control, then the games display hdr 10 but its very dark colors and saturated colors.
Please help this is my first Sony oled.
thanks
I have uploaded a video, tbh it doesnt do it justice but seing the actual tv you notice a BIG difference in HDR.

Another one with KNACK 2
Hello @eaextreme,
please connect the console via HDMI to either HDMI2 or HDMI3 (port number) on the TV - then check if the console has detected a HDR-TV or redo the display settings setup in the consoles setup menu.
Please upload a photo of the screen after you performed these steps.
