I've had my Sony A6000 since 2015 and yesterday started getting this message when I power on:

"This accessory is not supported by the device and cannot be used. Please verify the compatibility with the device."

I haven't added any new batteries or SD cards, same as before. I don't use the hotshoe either. Any suggestions to fix? It's getting annoying and intrusive.

Have you tried removing the battery and memory card for a few minutes? If it's an issue with a terminal misreading or "ghost-reading" an accessory, that should be enough to solve it.

I took them both out for an hour and put them back in, but the message came back about 30 seconds after powering on.

Did you try to use another SD card?
