sorry to pester about this, but there was a laptop with the same case as mine but it had a p4 in so if i find 1 with a smashed screen or sumthing i could change bits. i thought i'd seen a amd 2.4ghz with the pcg-fr415b case. the insides must fit sumhow? the Sony VAIO FR130 looks similar or the Sony VAIO FR102 (PCG-FR102) or Sony VAIO FR105 (PCG-FR105)
damn theres to many amd sony laptops that look identicle, i made a mistake buying the celeron 2.8 because it cant run any games.
listen, take for example the sony K series...
exactly the same looking case..
except more basic models have a 2.8ghz celeron chip, where as others have a 3.06ghz P4 cpu..
However, what you have bought is final and no you cant open up the laptop and start trying to replace the motherboard and its cpu etc..impossible.
you're best option is your laptop is brand new, is to try sell it and with a bit extra money, get a more powerful model..
Hi Chris
Have a look at the A series if you want portability and power.
Don't be fooled by Sony's BS tactic of renaming laptops with the same spec to make them sound newer either. That's so damn low it's limboing.
