cd dvd drivers not instaled upon new instalation I GOT NO DVD DRIVE HELP!!!

i got no drivers, once i installed a new copy of xp on the laptop.
does anyone no were i could get them for it. cus it would be nice to have a laptop with a dvd drive . oh yes its a vgn-fe31z, (uj-850S)

Hi James,

The drivers for your drive are just XP generic drivers so you should have them installed with XP.

However, XP does not support DVD burning - you need to have a DVD authoring program installed like Roxio or Nero or WinDVD. Have you reinstalled WinDVD?

WinDVD only if you have the paid suite (to record DVDs that is)
