In storage manager I can see 3 options:
1) DEVICE MEMORY
Coloured bar, 112MB Available, 630+62.91MB used.
2.) SD Card (External 16GB card)
Colored bar.
3.) INTERNAL STORAGE
(Grey Bar)Total space: 1.20GB, Available: 0.97GB
My doubt is, why INTERNAL STORAGE is not being used at all.
Can't I install or move some apps from DEVICE MEMORY/SD CARD to Internal Storage.
As in file manager, I can see INTERNAL STORAGE, camera photos and some pre-existing file are only present there.
Please suggest.
Or, can I merge both DEVIDE & INTERNAL STORAGE partitions?
please help me

i can still use it by uninstalling update of chrome but i want the latest update of it.
i tried to repair the firmware of my xperia c via pc companion.
but still.
it has the same problem .
thank in advance
I guess neither SONY guys, neither any Android OS developer understand what the PROBLEM is. neither it looks that anyone is capable to explain it
(shoot me down )
there is no need of explaining what which storage type means, because - IT'S NOT THE ANSWER
QUESTION IS --- WHY??????
bit more info: there is devices out here called low end and hi end. there is not as trouble with hi ends, but.... low ends (as well known as - budget phones/tablets) would be nice little things for people who dont ask much. these devices isn't hi performance and everyone knows this, people make a choice and based on budget and need, but there is no reason to laugh to them face.
we all know, that system reserved and first two storages is same single flash drive..................................................
it's just partitioned in stupid way to force customer buy................
no one is talking about system partition................
only these two without actual sdcard - WHY they need to be partitionet in to 748mb what can handle aprox 3 apps and 2.01gb where you can move 5 apps per all google play store???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
is it that hard leave old type directories names included (as it is in hi ends), but actualy merge/combine these two partitions: 748mb+2.01gb=2.74gb or 2.5gb or 2.43gb and save hassle for users from nuisanse???????????????????????
it's still low end, and people will still understand that, BUT WILL BE ABLE TO ENJOY this little thing without losing interest of all brand even if it will not perform hi ends.
this remainds me what NOKIA did before microsoft pulled them out of puddle, and it still wasn't that anoying
Unfortunately I have just bought this phone without knowin about this horrible flaw. I really regret this purchase.
Why has Sony done nothing about this? Is it because the phone is now "old" so why bother? It's just assured that I'll never buy a Sony phone. You obviously don't care about supporting your proudcts with bugs that make the phone ultimately useless.
Never expected this from Sony itself...
Didn't you even the read question... its about installing apps in internal storage and your are giving an option of installing in SD Card...
Sony does not allow installing of apps in internal storage... its only the device memory where apps go... internal storage is only for media files...
But whole ambiguity is because of the option label which says "Move to internal storage"...
I never understood why Sony didn't allow installation of apps in my complete internal storage...
Most of the great android mobiles like Huawei and Xiaomi allow this...
And even if Sony did, at least don't confuse customers by replying with these wrong / confusing answers...
