I bought my Sony Smart LED TV last December, and this evening we noticed a rectangular shadow has appeared which takes up at least two thirds of the screen. Can anyone explain this and advise how to rectify this issue please?
Without seeing the issue it's hard to judge. However, according to your description it could be a so called "banding" issue. I would suggest to contact support to clarify if it's an technical issue or something else.
