IPlayer no longer opens when selected. All other apps open ok. This app also can’t be uninstalled and re-installed. Any help appreciated?

This worked for me in May 2024. Other apps (like ITVX & Channel 4) were opening fine, but iPlayer stuck at a grey screen. Hard resets didn't solve the problem, but this did. Thanks!
Oddly, here I sit in October 2024 with the exact same problem after having used iPlayer for years. This solution also worked for me. Anyone know why?
