Does my kdl-375500 have HDMI Arc?

Hi there, just about to buy a soundbar for my tv and I'm trying to figure out how to connect it. Unsure if it has ARC capabilties or will I have to use optical output?

Hi there

You have missed a letter in between the 37 and 5500 - Most likely it is an S or a W? In the interests of answering your question completely, can you please reply back with the exact model number of your TV.

Either way, HDMI-ARC was introduced in the HDMI 1.4 specifications in May 2009. Your TV is likely to be a 2009 model from my guess - given the development time, your TV is unlikely to have ARC functionalities. A good indicator is that a specific HDMI port on the back of the TV is actually labeled "ARC".

Thanks for your reply. It has a 'V'. I wasn't sure if it had a name that long ago!
