SD Card Slots

I have the Sony VGN AR11M and i accidentally put a sd card in the slot without the adapter. It is in there and wont come out. Is it likely to cause any trouble or sit there and do nothing

Hi andrewglasgow and welcome to the forum.

As it is unlikely to be making any contact I doubt that this will cause a problem. However, if you ever need to use the slot again then the SC card will need to be removed….

Well its sitting in there, no informstion coming up. SO is it better just to leave it there. Who would i go to to get it removed. Would it melt inside of there. I cant belive howe negative people are about these laptops

I doubt that it will melt somehow.

This may sound daft but have you tried picking up the notebook, turning the slot earthwards and giving it a gentle shake? This is with the battery, power and any peripherals removed of course….

You may then find that the card presents itself for removal with a pair of tweezers.

You could try tweezers, this is what we used to do with metal parts of floppy disks in the old days
