Urgent Help Required

I rescently purchased a VAIO AR-11M and installed windows vista as an upgrade. Not all of the drivers work and some are unavailible so i want to go back to the XP Media center edition which it came installed with. Now the recovery partition has not been affected and i think is still intact, but i can not use VAIO recover as it says that it does not recognise my laptop as a VAIO, even though it should be able to recover the entire machine.

Can anyone please think of a way i can get back to media center

Hi deanwebley and welcome to Club Vaio.

Reset the BIOS Defaults:

1. Turn on your VAIO.
2. When you see the Vaio logo, press F2 several times.
3. You will get the BIOS Setup Utility window.
4. Press F9 to get default values and then press ENTER to confirm.
5. Press F10 to save changes and exit and then press ENTER to confirm.
6. You have restored the default values and your VAIO will now restart.

Recover Drive C:\

1. Restart Your Vaio
2. When you see the Vaio logo, press F10 several times
3. Follow THESE INSTRUCTIONS but ignore step 1.

EDIT: I think it is F9 to reset the BIOS - check this is right when you get there!!!!

EDIT AGAIN: I've deleted your other thread to save confusion and answers in different places - once is usually enough!!
