Pioneer BD-ROM BDC-TD03 problem

Hi,

the model of my laptop is VCPF12M1E, and my BD Rom is Pioneer BDC-TD03. when I put a CD or DVD it does not work it means no read no turn arround, I want to know what can be problem, Software or Hardware?

It could be either but unless you have changed the OS or made other software changes, it is more likely to be a hardware issue. The fact that it does nothing at all also hints at a wiring or hardware fault.

Does the drive show up in Device Manager under ‘DVD/CD-ROM’ drives?

Does it show up in ‘My Computer’ or in Windows Explorer?
