Netbook no booting up

My Sony Vaio netbook had a Windows 10 update but will not now boot up and I cannot get it into safe mode!!

Sony Vaio logo comes up then the Windows logo with the spinning wheel after that a blank screen and briefly Attempting to recover installation appears but and will then go through the whole process again.

i have tried F8, Shift & F8, just the left Shift button. Power off 3 times when the Windows logo appears to try and force safe mode but nothing.

If I press F2 I can get into BIOS but I have no idea what I'm doing or if this will even help with my issue.

Hi 12Thedon and welcome.

Do you know which update caused the problem? Was this a Windows Update?

Do you have a Windows disc or a System Repair Disc you can boot from?

As the Vaio is working normally except for the corrupt Windows 10 installation, you may need to contact Microsoft to see if they have heard of this and if they have a solution.

Hi,

thanks Blencogo. Yes it was from a Windows update. I will try and contact Microsoft and try to find a fix. I have some form of back up on a USB stick that I did when I first bought the netbook but I have no idea how to install this.
