I just bought this laptop on ebay he said windows 7 in description but he didnt send any operating system, I' m using old hardrive from my other laptop with windows 7 installed , but only have three day's to activate it,well anyway the motion eye webcam isn't working does anyone know how to fix this? is there any software I can download? also when I unplug the charger the laptop switches off is there a way to fix it?

Hi and welcome.

In order to find available downloads you need to find the correct Vaio model. You are quoting the chassis type which is shared by many similar models.

Look on the screen surround for a model type something like VGN-AR***

When you have the correct model, you can browse the support website for drivers and utility programs.

You will need to look in the 'Original Drivers Package' and the Original Utilities Package for the Camera Driver and the Camera Capture Utility.

EDIT: It sounds like the battery is dead and these can be difficult to replace. Try to find a genuine Sony replacement.
