Windows 8 touchscreen driver

I have installed windows 8 on my all in one PC PCV-A1112M and the touchscreen functionality is not working anymore. need help please! it seems that the driver is not installed and windows cannot find it by itself...

Hi ticaill99 and welcome.

You are quoting an invalid model number - you are probably reading the chassis model which may be shared by many Vaios.

Look for the correct model in Control Panel -> Vaio Control Centre -> System Information. If you cannot use the system, look on the screen surround or on documentation/box. It will probably start VPC*******.

Your touchscreen is probably not compatible with Windows 8 so you will need the original Vaio Touchscreen Drivers. You need the correct Vaio Model to find the download on the support website.

There is no guarantee that the existing Touchscreen drivers will be compatible with Windows 8 and we will not know this until Sony release the list of which models will be supported for Windows 8 and what limitations will exist. We don't have any timescale for this yet.

I suspect you have a Vaio VPCL13S1E Touchscreen All-in-One.

You will find the original Drivers under the 'Preinstalled Drivers and Utilities' -> Windows 7 Tab here: -
