Hi, I've just purchased the DSC-H300 and would like the date to be displayed on the photo when it is downloaded - is this possible with this model?

are you talking about the date being integrated into the image? If so I'd rather say no, that's not possible. You can do that later by means of most available editing software but I'm sure that there's no "add date/time to image while transferring" feature.
