Sony's translucent mirror technology is not working properly

My Alpha 55 is not working properly. It seems that Sony's translucent mirror technology is not working. Part of the pictures are remaining black, esepecially when using fast mode.

Please check the attached pictures. The same problem is present with all of my lenses , 3 different sony zeiss molels

Has anyone else similar problens ?

Hi,

I should start off by saying I don't own either of Sony's SLTs. However, I had this problem with my Canon 35mm SLR, and I found out that the problem was caused by the shutter. It would not open fully, so stopped light from reaching the film where the broken shutter still covered it.

It appears that your A55 has the same problem. I managed to fix my camera's shutter just by taking photos continuosly. The shutter now opens fully every time. This might also work for your A55.
