Sony STR-DH820 buzzing noise

Hi not sure if anyone will still have this model of amp but I do and I'm wondering if anyone knows what is causing it?

It's linked up to the TV with the arc thing.... As you can tell I'm not a techie!

The amp is on standby when TV is off so its always got a small heat to the top of it.

But today when the noise started I touched the top it was really hot.... I'm wondering if its getting ready to burn out.

At least it's lasted a long time!

Hi,

If it gets hot you shouldn't use the device any more and contact a repair centre.

Sony has a handy locator tool for service centres in the UK and Ireland which you can check.
