Linking a turntable to my CMT-DC1 hi fi

Hi,

I would like to buy a turntable and link it to my Sony hi fi (model CMT DC1). Would I need to buy a separate amp or is there a simple lead I can use to connect the two?

THat will only depends of the turntable you buy.

which is it? if it has a pre amp then no problem just use classic RCA (white/red)

If not you will have to buy an extra one

I bought the Sony PS-LX300USB Refurbished USB Turntable with belt drive system, diamond stylus, and dual playback speed (33 1/3 and 45rpm). I believe this has a built in pre amp. So all good hopefully, being delivered today, so fingers crossed.
