Hello I have a band new Xperia 1 and there is a problem with the notification badge into some apps like Whatsapp or Skype.

The badge only show a green or blue dot but not the number of the unreaded menssages. Native apps like SMS or email works fine. I'm ussing the default launcher.

I had algo a Xperia ARC, Xperia Z, Xperia X5, Xperia XZ2 and I don't have this issue.

Perfectly normal, it's what the latest versions of the apps do, nothing to do with Sony or Whatsapp, etc.

I do not agree. I have the same version of Whatsapp on an Xperia XZ2 and it works perfectly.

That's what it does on the version for Xperia 1.

It's not an Xperia XZ2.

Different phones have different versions.

They may add it back later, but it's not a fault.

Try to go into Settings > App & Notifications > App interested (WhatsApp for example) and disable notification dot into bottom of "notification" voice.

Alternatively try to download from apkmirror the latest Xperia Home launcher apk and try to install it. This was extremely better and superior compared to latest installed by default.
