Hi,

I see tethering error when I switch my hotspot in Xperia 1 J9110 HK model.

I also want to add that I was seeing this since my Xperia Z. It was many time notification this time so I

posted it here.

No ideas how you can replicate this behaviour?

Could you try it in safe mode?

Tried safe mode but again it goes same and then I tried swiching on the data before turning the hotspot and It didn't showed up.

And did that again its not showing now may be thats the way

... atleast it worked today!!

From the screenshot I can see that your phone doesn't have any data, that's why you are getting this error, you should be able to see 4G between the hotspot icon and the network signal bars

I am getting unlimited tethering ever since I got my phone. I notice I also have a time icon upper left just like his instead of an ATT/Sprint?T-Mobile icon. Could it be because I bought my phone from an online store unlocked? I'm not auto updating any carrier apps. Hoping this lasts for a long time! This same thing happened when I bought an unlocked Galaxy S8 Plus online from Samsung and it lasted about a year. I'm not breaking any rules and neither phone was rooted.
