Combining App into Folders

Hi I just receive my xperia 1 and was trying to figure out how to combine the apps into individual folders. Being on it for hours, everytime I press and hold it will bring me to main screen and create shortcut instead. I am just trying to group similar apps together. Any idea what I might have done wrongly?

you are not doing anything wrong, Xperia's launcher lack this feature, you can either

1 use a different homelauncher

2 create the folders on the homescreen.

Oic so it's a different from the xz1 launcher? Any other launcher apps you can suggest that works similar to the old xz launcher.

I don't really use that feature, perhaps nova launcher has something similar

Many thanks will try that out later. I got too many working apps so without being able to group it just looks too big of a mess.

Any idea is this missing feature will come back soon to Xperia 1 launcher?

Hi @Winston80, let me see if I can help out here.

You are still able to rearrange apps and create folders. In order to do this, open the app drawer > Tap the three dots in the top right corner > Tap "Rearrange". After this you should be able to create your own order for the apps in the app drawer and create folders.

By the I find playing YouTube the volume seem softer then my xz1 is that normal?

I notice when playing YouTube i notice certain video music are louder then other. I have Dolby atoms and hsee both turn on not sure if that could be the cause

Not all uploads will be of the same volume, just like on a pc, so you may have to turn up the volume for one, and lower it for another.

Yes that is true but I had compare it with my xz1 side by side playing same YouTube video and I notice my xz1 seem louder and more base too, the xperia 1 sound seem too sharp and softer.

Not sure if it's because of the only one speaker
