Tv loses sound

Hi all, I have a Sony kd-55xg9505. If I go from HDMI to tv the tv loses sound. Doesn’t always happen but it’s probably done it half a dozen times in the 3 weeks I’ve had it. I’ve been through all the tv settings and have checked the speakers settings and everything is fine. The only way to get the sound to work again is do a restart by holding power button for a few seconds. Anyone else had this issue?

Many thanks for your reply, neither of these options helped. I had earc and pass-through off and sound running through tv speakers and it happens. I bought a soundbar and have earc and pass-through set to auto and it happens. I’ve also turned off any HDMI cec and anything else that controls HDMI. It just happens randomly and I’m out of ideas. Any help appreciated

Did a bit more researching and found out it’s a common problem with no solution. Sony refuse to accept its an issue
