TV won't turn on

My KDL-43W755 won't turn on. When I turn it on from the remote or the button on the back the white light under the screen glows for a few seconds then goes out. I tried holding down the power button to do and Android restart which has worked in the past but it does the same thing. Is there anything I can do or do I need to ask Sony to repair it?

Same thing has happened with my KDL-43W809C. I have tried both soft and hard resets without success. In the case of a hard reset (power button + the volume down button on the back of the TV while reconnecting the power) the green light under the screen comes on but it does nothing. The TV is unusable.

Sony - what is the fix for this problem?

So, this morning the TV has gone back to working normally; very strange.
