saving satellite favourites channels on usb stick

Hi , im trying to export favourite sat channels onto usb stick before i do a factory reset on my kd55ex9005

but the option to export is not available its there but not highlighted.I have followed steps from sony site

but as i said the last option to export is not highlighted therefore it wont allow me to select it .

Anyone any ideas

Hi Nsider,

I'm interested to know if you have made sure that you have only one USB drive connected at the time of exporting the channel list? I'd also recommend reformatting the drive, or even trying a different one if possible.

Hi I have 3 USB connected to my TV all are formatted but I will try with
only one connected and post update a.s.a.p

Hi Win 88 sorry for the delay in replying, been back and forth to Sony

with no luck. I did have two USB connected to TV at time of trying to export

channels i ejected one and the option to export was no longer greyed out

which means i can export ? but this is the USB i use for recording and as there

is no option to safelty remove USB only to deregister USB from recording

i'm not sure if this will delete recordings i have not watched yet,but why would

one USB interfere with another,what Sony has said is they don't recommond

recording to USB even though the option is there ?

Hi Nsider,

Removing the USB drive used for recording should be safe as long as nothing is being written or read from it. (Best bet is to do it while TV is off)
