Increase volume step for arc av receiver

I have a 55 xe9005 which is connected to a yamaha rx-v371 av receiver via arc. This all works fine, but the volume up and down is a bit laggy, especially as I generally increase or decrease the volume by 5 steps at a time (from -40dB down to -42.5dB)

Is there a way so that pressing the volume down once, sends the down command several times? I wouldn't might the slight lag if I have to press it less

Do you control the volume using the TV's remote control or the receiver's remote control?

Thanks for the reply. I use the TV remote to control the reviewers volume.
